Pawholt's guides exist to help you look after an animal well, not to win a search ranking. Here is how we put them together.

Research and accuracy

Every guide starts from reputable sources - veterinary references, recognised breed and species authorities - and from real hands-on experience with animals wherever we have it. We give specific care advice, we are honest about the trade-offs of a breed or a routine, and we say plainly when something (a training approach, a food choice) really comes down to preference.

Updates and corrections

Animals, products and best practice all move on, so our guides are revisited and corrected rather than left to age behind a fresh date. If you spot something wrong, tell us through our About page and we will put it right.

Independence

What we recommend is chosen on merit and never bought. No brand pays for placement in a Pawholt guide. See our Affiliate Disclosure for exactly how the site is funded.

Not professional advice

Our guides are educational and never a replacement for a veterinarian who can examine your pet. Anything touching health, medication, poisoning or an emergency needs a vet - when in doubt, call one straight away.
